Im not going to show you how I attached the mesh.....

Work it out for yourself. :P

All you have to do though is cut the grille inner out. No filling or anything for your intended style. You should have it finished in a weekend.

I got Tonkins Audio to install a Polk DB 8"sub today.

$250 installed with a sheet of dynamat as well. Best $$ I have spent on the car besides sway bars

Image

It goes hard and now the shelf doesn't rattle when you turn up the volume. The speaker itself is a bit bigger then the MM840 Polk. It clears when the boot it shut but the metal bar just touchs it when you close the boot. Nothing a felt pad around the bar won't fix.

I have no intentions of changing anything else for the audio side of things as I have my Clarion Ipod Integration.

Very interesting.
I was considering something similar for the XR6T - replacing the factory 8" sub on the parcel shelf. Good to get an indication of the price installed too.

Definitely worth doing Lee!

Yeh still running off the stock Mcintosh/Clarion amp, I wouldn't bother upgrading it as this is enough for me

Mine was 100% working condition and the difference is very noticeable. The annoying vibrations have completely gone (I thought it was the doors but It was the parcel shelf). I highly reccomending spending the $250 for the dynamat and sub installation.

I will be doing a DIY front grille mod cutting it right up to the face so the honeycomb stands out like the facelift model (as well as doing the badge mod in black or carbon fibre).

My carbon fibre weave rollfinally came from the states. I will be covering the spare intake I got ages ago and then do the rest of the engine covers in a heat proof resin.

Hopefully my stainless Steal centre and y pipe isn't to far away to complete my TBE

Looking forward to the see the carbon fiber intake cover works out, i have a spare one i could try it on and if it turns out well i will do the battery and abs covers too. Can you send me on a link to where you got it from?

Also in relation to the sub, do you have any pictures of the view from inside the car of how it looks with the speaker cover or did your just reuse the stock speaker grille off your Machintosh sub?

I used the stock Mcintosh cover to keep it looking OEM.

This is the ebay link for the carbon fibre, I still haven't got around to getting some heat proof resin and starting it

Thanks mate, hasn't changed much sine though.

Boot spoiler is a K2 gear one. Eyelids I can't remember the name but they are similar to the k2 ones but a bit thinner

I might need to take some more photo's of it soon, also thinking of changing my plates

Mines not due for a few months but it's coming up : (

As much as I want a diamond Grey STI It's too much hassle changing all my parts over and realistically getting the same car with a few extra bits.
