100% agree with you Hamish.

Ealier in the year I was offered LEO's 5 speed with a HKS clutch.

But said to myself, when I do a manual con I want to do it properly and get the STI 6 speed.

I find the 3rd gear ratio on the 5eat is really long compared to the manuals. A little anoying at times. I'm hoping matt can work the same magic that he did on micks car.

Matt doesn't need to road tune it, he can do it while it's on the dyno. The reason for the road tune is so he can tailor it to how you want it to drive on the road.

And hamish you can still downshift with an auto

You can engine break a little in the auto but its not as effective compared to the manuals. :(

update - 11/9/12

Injectors are on their way. (850cc side feeds)
I was hoping to go 1000cc top feeds but I dont need to until i go up around the 300kwatw mark which wont be for a while so saved a little $$$ there.

Im now thinking to go a bigger intake as my K&N typhoon is 63mm and will get maxxed out on E85 up around the 230-240 mark.

im thinking 67 or 73mm but not many brands specify what size their intakes are. Also im not sure if I will need a bigger silicone turbo inlet hose to match???

makes sense :). Think its worth it? Why would they use silicone in the first place then?

850cc injectors on their way with a 73mm (3") CAI. (for some reason I thought they where only 750cc's, I went back n checked. They are 850's)

Car is down at SnJ getting a little custom work done while I go to Queensland for a week.

- turbo rotated to allow better flow and FMIC fitted up.
- 2.5" flexi bolt connection on the exhaust cut off. True 3" system with a mesh flexi hose.

You don't ask me what you should do, you ask if setup X will work. I supply the answer, or phone Richard.
