I was going to post a separate thread but i think the people whom have the knowledge for fitment are in this one so here goes...

Would 18" x 8.5" +32 Offset and or +26 Offset Suit a 2005 GT with normal brakes?

They'll clear Brembo's in most wheel styles at those specs.

Will definitely clear GT brakes.

So you're telling me both +32 and +26 will clear my brakes and the missus brakes 100% in an 8.5 width? That's VW offset... Seriously i have no idea how this works... It's weird because my old Work V's were 18" x 8" +49 didn't fit and i had to use a spacer on the front?

For example.....

If you had the VX Mesh in 18 x 8.5 +32 you would have had 18mm more clearance from the inside of the spokes to the Brembo's than the 8" +49 ones. Definitely wouldnt of needed a spacer. Going to a +26 will add another 6mm of clearance.

That said, the wheel will sit 18mm (+32) or 24mm (+26) further out than the +49's did, thats pretty far out.

BBS LM's?

Woo hoo! Someone that makes sense! That's why i'm looking after you! I hope you are right... You know me, I love LM's but will not get a set unless it's the $6k ones... I stick to my Work V's at the moment and i still love the mesh on them a little more for some reason... :assassin:
