So do any of these pulse cars hit up WSID? Surely all would be revealed when then burn through the traps at a much lower speed than they should. Or do people who go there not know enough to either care about such data, or understand the relationship of trap speed to power?

A dyno is a tuning tool... the S Edition for example, is rocking and climbing on the rollers in the video. Loosen off the straps and do a power run but it looks obvious, so easiest way is to change the length of the dyno bed.

Lets face it, getting a car to feel more powerful on WOT on the road is not that hard with just a boost increase

Probably the exception - and with the power figures it showed on the dyno (not to mention the larger torque output of a 3.0 twin turbo), it should be running 120-125mph minimum

Best one I saw was a TD04 SH9 Forester that made 160+Kw@wheels supplied with a boost graph and yet the boost control solenoid hoses had both hoses on the intake J pipe from brand new... the t piece hose which was supposed to go to the boost solenoid had been plugged into the idle solenoid next to the boost solenoid. Owner always said it ran wastegate pressure on his boost gauge Idle solenoid has manifold pressure so if/when it opened then there was no air being bled off to raise boost

Is this new Osmond built thing actually a race car per say, or is it another celebration of all things west of the Bankstown airport?

The numbers seem on the money, maybe Pulse has learnt how to correctly set up his dyno……… Watching and waiting for this same car to be tuned again after the forged internals are fitted after it blows up, very common modification with most of Pulse’s customers that get sucked in by his lack of tuning knowledge.

400m mph gives zero fucks about torque spread. As long as ratios keep in meat of power curve, results happen.

12.2 seconds @ 116mph on 98, that was before it was retuned for E85 from what I know...
