Just wanted to warn everyone...

I used a heatgun to remove my rear badge and had the temp set too high, causing the plastic on the badge to bubble.
THE BADGE IS NOW RUINED!

Anyone out there selling a rear badge?

yeah i have seen that i think, but have a look on the first page of this and the badge looks slightly different and the silver/chrome ring separates from it. i may have seen it wrong but it just looks a little different IMO :?

I painted mine in satin black for my mesh grill. It's actually removable so once you take off the badge seperate the ring from it and sand it to rough up the plastic chrome and paint it with some plastic primer. Do a few coats of primer, sanding in between each coat. After that paint it whatever colour you want, remembering to sand lightly in between each coat

EDIT - I just re read the post & realised you must have a badge like in the link. My advice above ^ is if the silver ring separates.

So I sandblasted my badge today and it came up a treat! Some of the chrome is still being a PITA but I'm going to attack it with a dremel tomorrow and see what that does.. When you sandblast it, it'll need a sand with some rough wet & dry to smooth back out.. Can't wait to paint it. I've got White Knight superior shine gold for the stars and will get some matching paint made up for the background..

That's because it's a rear badge not a front one.
