Hey guys I'm after a passenger side headlight
For a Subaru liberty Gt
I broke the clip thing that holds globe in.

Pm if you have one in good condition.

Very common issue mate! Has happened to heaps of people, including myself. There are a few dodgy tricks you can try, new headlight isn't cheap! Unless you get it from a car that's wrecking.

Trying to source one from the wreckers ATM

I got a drivers side about 2 monts ago brand new for $500 cost price but Subaru wanted >$800 for each side. Wreckers are asking roughly $450.

Got a brand new one for $1360 from Subaru cheapest any wrecker would sell for was like 900

The plastic hook that the metal clip attaches to gets brittle with heat/age. Not a whole lot you could do, maybe re-inforce it somehow, no idea though.

Be very freakin' careful when changing globes, always ensure the globe is flat/snug against the plastic and never apply even SLIGHTLY additional force to close the clip. That's the advice from my mechanic who informed me of the $800 Subaru tax. Reckons he's never broken one. I did my driver side headlight in a couple of days ago. MUCH swearing was witnessed.

Same thing happened to me with my preface gt wagon. Your options are either new from stealbaru Australia, 2nd hand via import monster or try that mob in QLD .. Sunspares or smtg along those lines. If I remember I'll post their website up.
