hehe I just saw this. I'd be happy to drag u bruce! I won't be dumping my clutch at 6500rpms like Brandon suggests though. we should organize something. Calder Friday night sounds good. very keen to see what times Justin's monster churns out.

I have TD04 WRX's into the mid 13's on 11:1 AFRs with the traction control light giving the driver a sunburn... backed up by stock standard as it rolled off the showroom floor MY11 STi's doing 12.7's with 111mph trap speeds from just a tune :)

But that is what I like about trap speeds, dyno numbers are all set around a set rate of acceleration. Shoot 44 for example is 10kph per sec up, if the car wants to accelerate at 13kph per sec on the road then your dyno tuning the car around a slower acceleration rate.

There is a bit of a weight difference between libertys and wrx's

Was the traction light only giving trouble from launching?

I would Jerome, but there doesn't seem to be much of an appetite for the drags amongst the boys. And I'm not going to go on my own. :?

I don't see what the big deal is? Does Melbourne not have a track that does drags on a regular basis? Eastern Creek in Sydney run the drags every Wednesday night, no big deal turning up among the mass of drivers to do a run or two

Calder's jacked up the price since the days of fri nite drags.. i think off street drags are now sat here.... approx. $130

Traction control light on constantly in 1st & 2nd, flickers in 3rd for WRX. STi launches better with TC off(no LC patch used either)

Yes, aware of the weight difference. Hence why a high 12 is feasible but the trap speed is more important!

Must be the Tyres and suspension causing crazy wheel spin as I don't have that issue when my car comes on boost in a straight line, my car has semi slicks

Quick update.

I'm currently getting the car tuned by Matt @ Kido Tuning. Loving both the results and the process. I've learnt a lot about both the car and tuning as well.

With every revision it get's better and better and would consider Matt to be amongst the best of the tuners getting around in my opinion.

I've also installed the following bits on the car to aid tuning or enhance driveability.

AEM digital wideband O2 sensor and gauge.
Kartboy pitch stop mount.

Had my boost leak finally fixed at AVO, who were great to deal with. Leak was found to be at the TMIC outlet add on neck extension weld done at Revzone. Lee at AVO also threw in a throttle body to intercooler hose with new clamps to ensure it's not an issue again. Whole intake was pressure tested to 25 pounds. Very happy with their service.

Also on the way is a Group N transmission mount to help manage drivetrain lash with all the extra power and snap.

The car is serviced now by Steve, the ex STI Docklands lead mechanic, aka Sharpie on other forums. Very happy with his attention to detail and pricing. My next service will see new brake pads going on, Ferodo DS2500s and a flush and bleed.

No pictures this time but am happy to take some if anyone needs to see anything specific.
