Engine Bay Cleaning/Washing?

Thats's pretty much what I do (general cleaner), you can also use a cutting in paint brush, long handle to get to the hard to reach spots. Mothers preserves or something similar on the hoses/black plastic and wiped off to bring back a nice gleam.

I use CT-18 to clean pretty much everything, engine bay, wheels, mountain bikes and it works a treat. with the engine bay I spray it on using a garden pump spray, wait about 10mins then hose it off with the hose set to spray and not too high a pressure. Never had a problem.
