Hi from Perth

Introduce yourself

Hi from Perth

Postby Wanted GT » Fri Jul 13, 2012 10:20 pm

Hi guys and guys,

Just a short introduction. I don't actually own a lib yet but I am looking to buy a gen 4 gt wagon. I currently drive a 1996 Honda Civic vtir- hatch, but its time to move on. The guys at Baby Road couldn't believe we were asking them to fit our baby seat into a two door hatch  , my daughter is now 11months old and its getting harder and harder to lift her into the seat. I joined up here so that I could find out a bit more about liberty's, and maybe find someone on here who is looking to sell their car. My only previous Subaru experience was an old 1983 touring wagon, with a hot dog resonator, sunraysia wheels and a 2 litre carby from an old escort, fun times.

Cheers

Tom

Hi Tom, welcome!

You can't go past the Gen 4 wagon! Would you go N/A or turbo? Auto or manual?

Thanks Allasandro,
I am looking at turbo and would consider auto or manual, maybe even a 3.0 spec B, if I can't find the turbo. Could you keep an eye out for anything suitable? I am currently looking at Gumtree, Carsales and the like, but would like something with mild mods as it would be a struggle to fit them later.

Well a 3.0R Spec B wagon would be out of your budget in that case. You could always go a gen 3

If you can stretch to $17,000 for that one, it's already in the right state, and looks a decent buy :)
The kms are a bit high, but if it has been serviced correctly, it should have years left in it yet.

Thanks guys that's the sort of thing- though its white, which the wife hates, and the kays are a bit high. I was also hoping for the 2.0 GT as the fuel consumption looks better. I know these cars advertise for a bit more but they do say or nearest offer, so hopefully I'm not too far out of the ball park. Plus I might be able to do part trade with the civic, we won't have room for two cars plus my work vehicle.

It's back on, but I called and the mobile number is wrong- freaking annoying. I so want to join team black. Tried emailing them no response yet.

And can I say James' car is already done up more than nicely so you won't have to mod it very much if at all :)
