Liberty STI Silver - DMS Detail

Hey guys,

Did this today for Lib STI. He was booked in for a stage 2 but it really wasnt needed so (after discussion) it was decided to do a stage one instead.

The process was
- Wash
- Clay
- Wash
- Polish with Menzerna Final Finish 106FF
- Wash
- Wax with Swissol Scuderia.

It came out very nice in my opinion. Im pretty sure Lib STI was happy to. Just as i finished putting my gear away it started raining but. The metallic will pop heaps in the sun. So hopefully its sunny tomorrow lol

I took lots of pics but i had the ISO set to High (i dont know how or why, nor do i know what ISO is) so most turned out crappy but i changed it back to auto and here are whats left.

This one shows clarity and lack of swirls/scratches

This pic shows beading. This is what a wax should do in the rain. It will form beads then run off when they get big enough.


This is one i dicked around with in some photo edit thingy in vista. Its kinda funky i think

hey dan car looks awsome, just a quickie, im taking delivery of mine soon, what sort of protection should i start with being a new car, is meguires tech wax ok ?

Hey Mark,

For a new car i would suggest a sealant. Z2 Pro would be perfect. 3 layers will give you at least 6 months protection. Then you can top that with tech wax if you want. However, the tech wax has fillers in it so it will mute your metallic flake. I would suggest either of the following
- Optimum car wax. Easiest wax ever to use just spray and wipe -$~30
- Old P21S paste wax - $~55
- New P21S paste wax - $~ 90
- Swissol Onyx paste wax - $~110

thanks dan for a great job,the best $200.00 spent,he spent almost 6 hours doing my car,then it started sprinkling and i had to race off.i cant wait for a sunny day to see the full effect.

the reason why i ask is that i live in an apartment so may not have access to a hose for you to actually wash it....

hey dan little off topic but your the man to ask, i have silver and black rims http://www.vertiniwheels.com/images/wheels/fashion/fashionA-big.htm??/ that might give you a better idea, anyway to my question is there an wheel protectent of the sorts that will help to keep them looking shinny and new, cause after a wash the black fades pretty quick cause break dust loves it. (by the time i drive the car home)

Great job Dan, I've been using that Tech Wax and your right, the sparkle ain't coming out as much. I think I am gonna have to get it removed.

Do you do weekends as well?
