Spring options for 2.5i wagon, my04.

Ok guys i've done as much searching as i can (very minimal computer skills:P) but i haven't had any confident responses as to which springs would suit me best. I have my stock struts in and am after a nice drop but not to the point where i will scrape over small bumps (steep entrances will scrape if i go any lower i know). So can anybody please let me know which springs can give me this ride? Im also not to worried about slightly worse ride comfort but am willing to pay a little extra for nicer ride. And i dont earn enough to afford new coilovers!

There's a set of Pedders coilovers for sale - $800 second hand which is reasonable. Otherwise you can get a set of kings or Pedders sports springs. I know _bert was running Eibach springs with a 2" drop

Ok would you mind linking me to where it has been discussed? I cant find any reguarding wagons without the b spec bilstien struts

To be completely honest, have a look around for some bilstein struts and then upgrade the springs. Then you can get the famous PHAT S-Techs. Quite a harsh ride but, you've got to take the good with the bad. That's what I did.

With the stock KYB struts just get yourself some pedders springs or kings or something. Although in saying that, I called Pedders for a quote and they wanted to charge me in excess of $800 to supply and install.

Those bilsteins look like a pretty good deal. Are they adjustable? If not im guessing the ride height is the same as the spec b's come out stock?

The brand new ones are a very very good deal. A set of them; $550 plus some Teins; $350 (approx) sees you at $900. Buy these instead and they are adjustable http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/BC-Racing-Co ... 2ebfcab5c4 (or something along those lines)

Not adjustable. Yep same height as Spec B's (they are actually Spec B suspension)

If you're going downt the road of Tein S-techs you may as well get some entry level coilovers for a similar price. That's what I did.

Which coilovers did you get and how much? Also your lib is perfect height, is it legal? And do you scrape?

Yep it's legal (only just, about 105ish mm at lowest point)

Yeah I do scrape occasionally if I'm not paying attention, but you do get used to driving a low car. I wouldn't say it's impractical at all, just got to be wary when going over bumps etc can't go too fast

I got BC BR coilovers (second hand) but you can get them for ~1100-1200 delivered new from Street to Track (a vendor on here)

Like Sean said, new billies with s techs (good height, no adjustability) will set you back ~$900.. Well worth the extra few hundred for fully adjustable coilovers if you ask me! Height, damper, etc all adjustable.

Nope. They are V1 series, which are an older model (so i've been told)

The BR series (which I have) are a revised version and are btter (so i've been told)

Not trying to make you do anything.. Just trying to make the point that you can buy the BR series for about $40 more than the V1 series from a vendor on here, the choice is yours
