Parrot Blue Tooth

Postby Boostaddict » Mon Jul 02, 2012 7:30 pm

Hey peeps

When i bought my car end of last year it had the thing dangling down just to the right of the steering wheel. It was the control unit for one of those Parrot blue tooth systems. Now it has never worked, doesnt switch on on start up. But i do hear some beeps (about 8 or so REALLY quick) on start up.

A - Does any ones car beep like that on start up?? It actually does it on "acc" without starting about 5 or so seconds after you turn the key to acc.

B- Does anyone have these Parrot sytems?

C- I have noticed that when playing the radio its quite distorted (not all the time aswell) even at like vol 10. But when i play a cd its awesome. When they had the dash apart to fix the hazards light (under warrenty) i noticed that the back of the HU had been high jacked by some cables. Im assuming that this is the Parrot system and so did the guy pulling my car apart. I got told later that the parrot wasnt covered under warrenty as it was a aftermarket accessory. Its just weird!!

Thanks for the help in advance

I got one of those systems not installed though. I'll check the manual for you.

Give The Car Kit company a call they have a tech dept and can talk you through connection or diagnose a fault over the phone.
Or they will come around and fix or replace for about $100 or so.

I have no idea.... I ended up tucking it under the dash cause it pissed me off. Will have to get it out and have a look for model number.
