Also where would be the best place to mount/locate the body of the unit? The Subaru install guide for their genuine product (see below) provides a mounting bracket to attach it to the top of the head unit. Could probably tape this device in the same way without the bracket being careful not to cover and vents. Any ideas? What worked best for you Jay?

I put some tough double sided tape down the edge of the adapter, and it sits besides the HU on the left, but is attached on the back edge. its held in firmly and theres no way its coming off. It was the only logical place to put it in my case as the left hand side doesn’t have a straight, flush face.

The lead comes out under the interior trim in the passenger side footwell, only a max of 20cm from the unit, so theres heaps of length for the iPod cable.

Will I try the anycarlink? I have the Advanced ICE on the way from Brisbane, expecting that to work but if not then I'll be checking the anycarlink after that

I will post in the for sale forum and try not to clutter this one: Yes!

For most of the other brands it's an add-on accessory, with it's own dedicated port.
It's a dedicated Anycarlink model but NZ disty AboutSound do not recommend it based on the lack of handsfree audio quality.

Confirm the advanced ice media player doesn't provide information to HU in MY05 liberty.

Losty is your car a 6 speed? I found heaps of info on 5 speeds that are FL models, and heaps of auto, but couldn't find a comprehense 6 speed PFL guide. I got it sorted in the end. It was remarkably simple. I spent 2.5 hrs doing it, and I rekon I could redo it in about 2 minutes.

Mine is a 5 speed auto, and it's 2L Turbo.

No asides...delete or move that power discussion...

Note that I have now added new photos of the Kenwood plug into my earlier post above from the H621SXA200 kit from USA.

Here are shots of the Advanced-ICE, no time to try in car yet but will report back soon....

605: The Clarion CD Changer port plug, other end of this cable looks a bit like an HDMI plug and goes to the "Car Media Player"
