You don't need to play that silent CD thing, right?

Yes indeed, safe to order considering price, service and the possibility to pass it onto MY06 owners if incompatible :D

Assuming it does work, I'm intrigued by the idea of plugging my Aircast Auto into the Anycarlink aux-in socket so I get BT handsfree on the same channel, maybe.

Just ordered the device for AUD$136 (including shipping) after shooting them an email. They are more than happy to refund the device if it does not work and is send back as is.

Can't wait!!! :D

Anyone got comments on where they might locate their ipod connecter? Centre console/Glove box/Maybe even combining it with an iphone or ipod bracket and mounting it permanently somewhere in the car?
Also where would be the best place to mount/locate the body of the unit? The Subaru install guide for their genuine product (see below) provides a mounting bracket to attach it to the top of the head unit. Could probably tape this device in the same way without the bracket being careful not to cover and vents. Any ideas? What worked best for you Jay?

I have my cable coming from under the console trim in the passenger footwell

my iPod is velcro'd to the dash to the left of the head-unit

My xcarlink unit is behind and to the left of my head unit. The cable is routed past the cig lighter, along the trans tunnel to the centre console with barely 15-20cm of cable left in the centre console to attach the ipod to.

I'll be spewing if Apple changes their dock connector to a smaller 19 pin at the release of the iPhone 5

Hi Mc owners,

If you see my posts above, you'll know that I ordered the H621SXA200 from USA.
Well...it has arrived and I can now confirm that the CD changer plug is definitely NOT the Clarion plug. This was expected, but it is likely to be a standard Kenwood plug (equal to the USDM 07-08 Legacy and Outback). I will take shots of the plugs and box and post here soon. But unless you have a Kenwood HU, don't order the USA part.

PS: the brand new unit in box will be for sale at my cost, $199 shipped to anywhere in Oz, other places get in touch.

cheers

Shame to hear that ICE.
Good luck in selling it.
Will you look into the anycar link model?

For sure, and also available (for the current connector):

pass-through power adapters (piggyback usb power for devices with connector that don't charge iPods and iPhones)

dock extender cables (for devices with connector attached but not long enough cable wise)
