If anyone could buff that out Hamish, it would be you.

Maybe I should have kept the bits of the bumper I left lying on the side of the road in a neat pile.

If anyone is heading to Victoria, just over the border from Mt Gambier on the right-hand side of the road, you will find a small pile consisting of bits of bumper, wheel liner and broken fog lamp. Please collect and post to Hamish. Hamish, once you get it, let me know and I'll drive the rest of the bumper over for a buffing!!

cheers and thanks,

bj

I will/may/should have my entire front end for sale in the very near future.....

04-06 GT front, bar freshly painted (good if you had 39D paint) Corazon grill (as new), foglights with 5300K HID'S and STi replica lip with badge......

I know you state "no 2.0" but imo, looks far better than the 04-06 3.0......

Thanks for the heads up,

I'm actually a fan of the 3.0 bumper, I've never really liked the big supporting beam thing that you see in the centre of 4cyl bumper intakes, the 3.0 bumpers don't have it.. and i would kill the lip lol, no point denying it, whats the point of having a Subaru without testing the Rally heritage lol

but thanks for the suggestion

turns out they fix cars at my bro in laws work.. (yes i didn't know lol) so ill most likely just get them to fix it..

btw, i checked everything out and all underneath seems ok, bar the resonator that sits at the bottom of the intake filter, which has snapped clean off..

the bumper just snapped back into place on the wing side so hopefully all the fastening bits and bobs aren't broken, and although its lacking a few under tray bits just in that corner, they shouldn't be too hard to fix..

plus the lack of a resonator gives a surprisingly pleasant hike in induction noise.. Might just leave the resonator off...

but it is all being kept together with some builders twine so it won't stay this way for long lol

lol, ah yes every cloud has a silver lining..

so silly question, it doesn't do any damage not having the resonator?

its actually quite a clean snap, no jagged bits

nope, no damage not having it.
i think for an extra 0.5/1 kw of power, your best to cover up the hole with something. but really, it makes no difference
