Kahn RS-V 19" x 7.5" +45

Postby [ITS-STI] » Fri Jun 15, 2012 1:02 am

Well... I just picked them up and brought them home... Absolutely destroyed to find out they are 19"x7.5" +45 and the Falken Rubber on them is rubbish... They have heaps of stone chips and very light gutter rash on two of the four wheels... Me being me i just can't handle that... So tomorrow will check clearance over Brembo calipers and if all works out they will be sandblasted and powdercoated in a Titanium colour (Same as the Tuned By STi colour and or the 2005 Impreza WRX colour) or Satin Black... Thoughts?

Also, found out some other alrightish information... These wheels are Designed in England and Made in Italy... They are tough which means they are a touch on the overweight side...

Don't mind the colour mash up... I was just experimenting with the STi Centre Caps and the McGuard Wheel Nuts... In my opinion these wheels look terrible in that colour unless you have a light coloured vehicle... Definately going a satin charcoal ish colour!

Why is 7.5 is so bad? Were they advertised as 8.5?
Mine also had masses of damage, which wasn't so pronounced in the pics I saw before buying, but that's how it goes. They came up nice after the repair & respray.

I think they would look good in a dark metallic colour but I'm not sure about pink. It might look ok on the car but I would never put them on my car in that colour. Also, if you are potentially going to resell them at some point, your buyer group would drastically shrink.

There is nothing "wrong" with 7.5's besides that they are a little soft... I want FAT wheels on it!

Yeah, it is hard to find a good colour... Might go same as Mark's Tuned By STi wheel colour he had on the wagon... And you are right about the resale...

What the hell is with the comment about them being pink..

This whole post confuses the fk out of me

EDIT: Now that I read it again... It looks like the first two paragraphs are a 'reply' from 'someone' (maybe they deleted)
And the last two paragraphs are a reply to that... hmmmm
