Have you got a thread with the details? Did Springy do some work on it which created the unhappy stance? Or was the work done elsewhere and now you have left it with Springy to correct?

Check the link in my profile thing on the right...

Doh! Got it now. Sorry to hear of the bad news. But perseverance does have it's just rewards. Stay with it, get it fixed and then you'll be lovin it so much you'll forget you were ever disappointed. Don't know of too many Maloo's that can do what the Liberty can in the twisties, the wet and the gravel? The Libs are a very good all rounder and with a little bit of effort, you will be liken the result.

Nah, just low interest when it comes to another turbo four pot. Now if you were talking sc six, that would have retained my interest!

Hmmm sounds like a good result at a price less than expected.
800nm, really???? Pharrrrrk! 800nm = low 10 sec passes.......

I'll start saving for a ridiculous motor and turbo now!

But 800nm on an auto that you can't tune the Transmission control unit for shift points would be untameable and pretty much useless down the quarter with that much power. The car would probably shit itself and not know what to do with shifts.

P.S Mark answer my damn text! Was that you in Ringwood tonight? I saw a Arctic white prefacelift 3.0 with LED number plate lights coming down a slip lane on Maroondah Hwy, was that you?

I should probably qualify the 800Nm. These things are only as strong as the weakest point and there are considerably more factors to consider before I claim a transmission that strong. The clutches, bushes, bearings, sleeves, etc that have been replaced in the rebuild would be much higher rated than before, but the main drive gears and splines are still in original form, so I might pare back that claim to something more reasonable, like 450-500Nm. Nothing scientific here, just a wild and fanciful claim!

Not driven a HSV, only a couple of SV6's and SSV's, but weight and thirst are big killers for me. Still very good in a dry straight line though. Are you offering to bring one along?

On Friday, quite independently of the transmission, one of my O2 (A/F) Sensors decided to die! Went to Subaru and they read the DTC P0031 and confirmed the issue. Booked in for a replacement.

Right on mister! I sent PhatGT an email earlier this evening. He did a large buy of the new style sensor last year, but not sure if they were just for the GT or 3.0R or both.

Got impatient and gave the car to Subaru to fix. They also found the test connectors for the ECU were broken (passenger side pair) so now I can download my ROM image and start the tuning process. Could be exciting times ahead!
