Anyway........

Hi GB

I'm sure this has been done but has cam & crank positioning been checked?

My theory (i'm not a mechanic) is that there is a cam out of position and your blowing intake charge out your exhaust port so the car sees heaps of air moving through and can not fuel it adequately....

I'm probably wrong but just throwing it out there....

This was not aimed at you at all...what the hell are you on about Taylor?

Cams should be in time the avcs seems to be working ok

Danny thinks the cam timing should be fine, I'll know more once he tunes it from scratch, it may also be the maf sensor not getting a good reading due to the intake tube

Apparently the car has been in open loop this whole time.... So my 2-3k surge might be the dbw

As I've offered before, feel free to borrow my ECUds if you'd like to monitor some of those parameters, some members have identified issues using those :D
(e.g. cams, avcs, injector/pump duty cycle etc)

link to what exactly this is please :)

just got off the phone with danny and he is unsure why my car runs the way it is, he put another known cars tune into it and it hasnt responded... not looking good atm he has checked the fuel injectors for flow and they are around 750cc and fine replaced the spark plugs as they were fucked and had crap built up on them due to octane boost which ive only used twice... might have to check the cam timing and start looking further into it...

said a few other things but ill keep them to myself till we get to the bottom of it...

not happy jan!!

He's referring to the ECU data scanner, check the group buy section.

Unlucky about the other news :(

OMFG!
The ECUdatascan is a mini computer thing that runs off the OBDII port: you set up various "dashboards" on the screen to monitor and log in real time what the car is doing...'
I can drop it at your work tomorrow morning or early next week.
Just take a note of what parameters you need to watch, setup takes a few minutes.

Mick

he was checking that already, pulled the rocker covers off and couldn't see anything bad the avcs was working fine.

danny has a couple of ideas, maybe it has the wrong length plugs in it ie the thread on one type are longer than the other and being different heads who knows which ones they should be...
The mrt rails and silly regs they have on the end of each rail may be running different pressure before hitting the stock fuel regulator. last time i was at revzone i wanted to go magnaflow fuel regs and piss off the other crap but they said they were fine.
Might need to change the intake pipe or move the maf as it could be causing issues

the car did run a little better on the ID1000, i have to see how much he wants to keep them in there as he put them in on his own time and money to check, which was nice

he said the car did make 250rwkw on 18psi running the way it does and was shocked at the power for the boost pressure.....

i rang revzone trying to get more info but they're not sure as mrt purchased the cams and head etc, im thinking if danny doesn't solve this i will ring the original owner and ask nicely if he can get mrt to get me all the build info!!!
