hope those burnout marks on the rooftop carpark arent yours mate  welcome :)

As for short shifter.. the sti one replaces the whole shifter assembly. keeps roughly stock height AFAIK, just shortens throw between gears

your other option is something like the COBB short shifter (what i got lol) which is essentially just a dual-way adjustable gear stick so you can change the height and also the throw of the gearstick
rallysportdirect had them for about 170 + 30-odd for shipping if i remember correctly
but if the below price includes delivery then id get it through troy seeing as RSD are out of stock atm

sti shifter unit is $400+ or something, not worth it imo for reduced functionality

If you also want to stiffen up the feel of the shift Phat can get STI engine & gearbox mounts, which are stiffer.
I have those and the sti shifter and it's so much better than stock.

There's a slight increase in NVH at higher revs with the mounts.

Thanks mate. I didn't even think burnouts like that are possible with a stock Lib GT...I'm not game to try it, especially on a rooftop  left that for the guys with their fully sik commys

I had a look at the COBB unit, it seems to be what I'm looking for. The STi shifter is a bit out of my budget for a short shifter plus I'd like both shorter throw and shorter stick.

Thanks Reuben, interesting. Something I'll be looking at upgrading to in the future.. Are these mounts easily accessible, or a pain of a job to do?

I couldn't tell you how easy the mounts are, I had mine installed during a service.

The short shifter I had issues with because one of the bolts under the car has very little room for access and the bolt was just spinning around and not undoing. But the Cobb one is an easier install so you wouldn't have to worry about that.
