Remove front bar

Postby Tim_ » Fri Jun 08, 2012 11:11 am

Hi everyone,

Will be getting a ebay PU lip for my 3.0R soon and have been told easiest way to install this is to take of the front bar, flip it over and drill away.

Only problem is i dont know where to unscrew/unclip.

I would assume you would start by taking off the headlights and grill?
Then undo some bolts, then undo more bolt via the wheel wells disconnect the foggies and off she comes?
Is it as simple as this?

Thanks
Tim

Remove front bar

I wouldn't bother taking the bumper off at all. Drive up on a few pieces of timber or car ramps and just get under there. It doesn't take long to fit a lip. Well the genuine sti one at least.

But if you do want to take it off. There are 7 clips I think on the bottom. A clip under each guard liner then the 4 clips that hold the grill in
