Looks alright to be honest.

They have also integrated what seems to be a really basic time alignment and EQ setting depending on a few quick questions, however my experience in the past with Alpines automatic EQ tuning on their advanced processors hasn't impressed me and I ended up tuning manually. Probably won't be much better with this however time will tell.

Its good that they are finally integrating everything into the unit, however in saying that, the HD radio is useless here (as we run DAB+, hopefully they will change that for the Australian and parts of the European market) and also at what cost?

My local audio guy has suggested that as I am not doing audio until August, I grab an Alpine F9 amp, one of these head units, do some sound deadening and install some morel splits.
Sound like a plan?

I've never seen an Automatic Tuner that can surpass years of knowledge and a human ear, that being said I use a combined FFT/RTA and a Calibrated Mic to get me 95% of the way there, then the last 5% by ear. FFT's/RTA's do work you just gotta know how to use them ;-), that said It is still a 'manual' form of tuneing.
