DBA 4000 slotted or Dixcel SD slotted? (front only)

How do you tell if your rotors and pads are matched perfectly?

I have dba 5000 slotted rotors and dixcell type m pads going on soon

Both rotors and pads have an effective operating temperature range, the idea is to find a pad and rotor with similar optimal ranges.

I know Dixcel SD rotors are best suited to Type M pads and HS and FS rotors are better matched to Type Z pads.

This was going to be my next question - I had a bit of a suspicion that the Dixcels together might be a better match than the DBAs. Guess Phat will be getting even more of my money now :lol:

So the type m pads are 0-500*c
And my rotors upto 630*c from what I can gather from the paper work with the rotors.

This would be a fairly good match I'd assume?

Would dot 4 fluid be enough or would you recommend a higher rating?

Is the car going to see the track at all?

If not, matching temps of pads/rotors isnt a concern on the street.
