I work(ed) in IT and am still an IT and software dumbass. Thankfully I'm just a project manager, I don't NEED to be an IT genius

Kenn,

Apparently the steering wheel controls work perfectly with the Kenwood SatNav Ltd Edition unit. I've got one on the way, Chris21 on this forum has already done it with the same part number and was plug and play.

Part number is 83154AG001

I've ordered from subarugenuineparts.com

Liking the install, your attention to detail, the subtleness and amazingly detailed write ups!

Thankyou Hybrid, will definitly be doing that as soon as cash allows, and thanks Dropz, It does take longer but it's definitly worth takeing the time to do those little extra things. I've been letting my OCD get the better of me at times with this install, I'm just hopeing it inspires more DIY'ers. It's a great hobby.

Great read Kenn! Learnt a great deal from your pictures and write ups. Will definitely apply some of your wiring techniques when it comes time to do my install.

Haha, not so much cash broke but definitly time broke. Work has been totally un-relenting the least few months. Hopefully in september I'll get some leave, I'm gonna attempt finishing those sub boxes which will invlove fibreglassing the rear shell, carpeting them and then fitting the subs to them with the grills.

Hi Kenn

Any update to this? Would love to see the final product as I'm hoping to "borrow" your idea to do the same with the sub install in the boot.
