seanmau5 wrote:The facelift Spec B wheels look good on the prefacelift model. While some will flame you because, in their opinion, they think they look shite, I actually don't mind them. Picked mine up second hand for $250 (surely you can afford that??) and then all you need is some rubber (which you would need eventually on your current wheels)

I'll sell you mine for 250 + shipping if you want.
4x 18" facelift spec b rims.
2 with re50 that are in my opinion finished.
2 with hankook evo s1 with plenty of tread left. Done 15000kms I'd say so there would be a bit of diameter difference if you wanted to keep them and get 2 new.

Pretty sure they are all rashed but if you were painting them they're fixable.

get on it spec.b's = win

FYI post facelift spec.b's are the ones in my avatar which I bought brand new wrapped in kuhmo ku31's for $1250, $250 is not a bad price pending how badly rashed they are :)

As Simon said (no pun intended), get your stocks re-painted. Not so expensive for a different look. I don't think it would make it that much more difficult to sell down the track.

Pun intended or not, it was a classic! :P
well i guess i can always wait until i need new tires (probably close to a year away dammit), and see what second handers are up for sale. They look good on your's Jkeep but I don't think they'd suit mine too well, considering i'm going for a dark stealth look... Well, i guess i'l have to keep an eye out in the for sale section

Somewhere within the walls of this forum is some pics of those rims painted black but I can't seem to find them. Looks decent though.

Wow so keen, shame about the rashes and tires being low...but also shipping would probably cost as much as you're selling the wheels for! I wanna buy wheels with like 80% tread left at the least...I would love some bbs lm style ones like on MA44AL's lib. His ride is exactly what i would dream for mine to look like, but not keen for the money needing to be spent on coilovers, expensive wheels and 'trimming' underneath as he told me? not sure what he meant there...

and unless king springs make a super low, id recommend trying to find a second hand set of Tein S Techs in the forsale section, they drop the car further then king springs

no one is really sure how the Tein S Techs(phat edition) will sit on the stock KYB struts that come on our liberties as those springs are designed to sit on the AUDM billies, might work might not?? when i emailed phat about them he wasn't 100% as he hadn't fitted them to the KYB set up, you could be the first :)

I thought a few people had tried the Teins on the stock struts and it increased the height?

Don't get the S.Techs for the KYB's. Darren had them on his car and they did lower it slightly but the ride was VERY hard. However no matter what sprints you install the front will always appear higher than the back on any 2.5i due to the weight difference between the 2.5s and the GT's/3.0Rs that most of the springs out there are modelled on.

The only way to achieve a good even appearance is to get coilovers (or load your engine bay with bags of cement to get that extra weight up front).

The people that experienced increased height were those that went from KYB's with stock springs to Billies with stock springs.
