I am also going to find out whether P platers can drive turbo cars on the day, because if that is the case I am going to bring my brother along to do a few laps with my car :)

Noise limits are pretty lenient as is, I doubt many forum cars will go near breaking it. Fingers crossed I have mine atleast track worthy in time, but I highly doubt it.

P Platers should be fine to drive turbo cars, considering most young drifters are still on their P's and compete in competitions with high powered turbo cars. At my local track atleast, there's just a form stating you're over 18, have safety gear blah blah blah. (Helmet, long sleeves, long pants, covered in shoes)

That's ok, I can take your deposit for now and you have until we need to pay the track hire in full to commit to your spot, I might just have to have someone as backup in case you can't come lol.

UPDATE:

I spoke to Garry today regarding a few issues and have the following answers:
- As long as the driver has a provisional licence as a minimum there is no restriction on driving on the track, and can drive turbo cars and V8s as well.
- Lap timing is available! It will cost an extra $570 which equals an extra $24 per person, so if you are interested in this please let me know and if the majority want lap timing we will add this. In regards to the lap timing, MDTC cannot run a “Speed Event”, and so they have to run the lap timing in a way that will be legal. Basically the only way this will impact us is that they do not reward the fastest driver on the day, they reward the driver closest to his groups allocated lap time. Other than that, there is no restriction on how we drive or how fast our laps are, they just run the event this way so it is not considered a speed event.
- Noise levels - he has confirmed that he has never kicked a subaru off of this track, however if it has an external wastegate or straight through exhaust there will be an issue. He has said that as long as the gate is plumbed back there won't be an issue.

Can those seriously interested in attending please forward me your deposit as soon as possible so that I can book this day as we don’t want to keep stuffing around with the date.

Thanks!

You going to add me to the list or don't you love me any more?

I don't want lap timing because it will make remember how slow my car is.

Whoops I had deleted you when you asked me to and forgot to readd you! Watch the video on the website, you'll see that (as has been said all along) it is not a fast track, but it is a technical one, so you'll be surprised at how well your car can hold up :)

Kelvin, you will be surprised at how hard it will be for a GTB STi to shake you off their tale if you are driving the right way, following the main path, brake late, accelerate after the corner... its definitely not a fast track.

personally, i think we have a winner Rome :D the day definitely wont be about seeing how fast ones car can go down the straight, but it will be seeing how well one can take a certain corner

Yep! We can organise a seperate drag day for the fastest car in a straight line  Thanks for the recommendation Simon as it was you who said we should consider MDTC!
