Congratulations Bruce and Justin.
This looked like a well organised and well attended event. It's just a pity the weather didn't co-operate.
I might have been interested in running my totally stock 3RB just to get a base figure, but the clutch really is on its last legs. (New one is going in next week)
I would have brought the MGA for a giggle if it hadn't been so wet. ;)

Anyway, the trophies looked fantastic. I hope you have some good photos of them to show the non-attenders what they could have won :D

Awesome trophys.

There doesn't seem to be enough though? Shouldn't everyone get a trophy, just for showing up!

The trophies look wicked.
Dagnamit. If I had run my car I could've scored one of those, if only as the only 2.5i there! :(
I got this plan. It's called 'Save Ass'. And the way it works is this - I slip outta one of these windows and I run like a bastard!

Cihan was too apprehensive to crank the boost up after you all left, so its sitting on 341.1 for a while. Not bad for an unopened engine that's been running up to 3 bar on occasion.

Now I will have to go clean and detail the car for Jun's photoshoot. :D

Scotty.

Congrats Scotty.. hit me up via email when its all ready to go.... :)

Thanks Kirby for the update. Looking forward to your review as I think quite a few others are. :)

And today's graph, Cihan did a really good job, explained a lot of stuff to me and pointed out some boost.....issues, possibly with the wastgate hence the reason for the lull in torque at around 80km mark.

Quite pleased with the increase of 24.6kw and 73.7nm torque, he also played around with the throttle response and fixed the fuel issues I was getting in the mid to high revs, overfueling and bogging down. Also very happy with the low to mid curve doesn't hurt my neck so much anymore when boost comes on and it doesn't try to throw me into the back seat, saying that the car still feels like its got a shiat load of power but just comes on in a more consistent manner.

I still don't actually know whats been done previously to the car other than it had a tune before hand, when its up on the hoist next time I might pull the exhaust off it and check the dump pipe and cats. It has a non standard sound to the exhaust so I will be surprised what I might find!!

The only down side is that now I want to start working on the car and get to 200kw!!!

Would it be a simple as installing for example a Pierburg 3port boost controller immediately prior to the next tune?
They're reasonably inexpensive...
