Coilovers question.

In the future, I would want coilovers or lowered springs for my 93 liberty wagon. But I wouldn't have a clue about which ones to get, could someone that knows a bit about suspension give me the general run down of what I would need to do. My car has height control, if that is an issue someone tell me please. Thanks guys

I am not sure what you mean by "height control"?

I can tell you that coilovers will be much stiffer than most spring replacements. I can also tell you that if you replace the springs with stiffer ones you should replace the shockers with higher rated ones to match the new springs, sometimes a difficult thing to achieve. Generally I think coilovers offer a higher level of performance and of course offer height and damping adjustability, but the will probably cost you more, perhaps twice as much, as a set of springs.

He has self levelling suspension, a Gen1 thing. Basically airbags.

I have BC BR's in my Gen2 and Gen4. Theyre softer than the JDM billies and STi pink springs I had in my Gen4.

Guessing your 93 wagon is a Gen1 BF/BJ model, i'd say the fronts *might* fit but the rear possibly won't. I'm struggling a lot to remember my Gen1's suspension these days... Given BC Racing specifically list Legacy Gen2, 3, 4 & 5's I'd say the Gen 1 is not catered for. All models are listed here

But hang on! I just had a quick read over on the RS liberty club forum and looks like a few have had success with various GC8 WRX coilovers - which would be an earlier model than the one in your link.

It's a 93 GX model and I live about ten minutes away from JustJap, so I might just go check out there, and ask them about it and whatnot, thanks for your help.
