Gday guys/girls my name is Chris, from Adelaide SA and I currently own a dark blue 1998 Subaru Liberty RX Bilstein edition. Im a new/old member I joined ages ago but didnt really post because I didnt know If I was going to keep the car, but now I am so here is the story

When I got this the car I was young and well stupid, so many things were wrong with her, power windows a bit dodge, power steering, gear box, clutch, tires, interior, seatbelt, suspension and sound system was non existent. But I did had a sigma before this so when I first took this thing out for a test drive It felt luxurious in comparison but hell anything would after my old sigma.

I've had the liberty for over a year and a half and slowly its come together, just got a major service due soon, think its time for the timing belt to be replaced its only done 148,000ks for a 98 its pretty good. But pretty much fixed almost everything, except for a little section at the back interior, direct sunlight + leather seats + the former owner neglecting it resulted in back left head rest splitting.

Other than the bad stuff it now has a new alarm and new sound system, just recently purchased new 17inch ROH black Mags, makes it look meaner than the stock 14inch white bilstein rims (see picture), a 2.5 inch exhaust with a stock liberty muffler on it, which I will be changing soon because it pushes most of the noise into the back cabin. And I'm getting 4 doors, bonnet, front and rear bumpers, boot and a new grille same year, same model as mine dropped off tomorrow, replacing the driver door on mine because the power windows are a bit worse for wear and also the grille swapping the old one with a new one, and getting rid of that pink knock off sti sticker lol

Here are some pics more to come soon,

Hi :) nice car.

The service you are due for is 150,000km/ interval 3 service. It doesn't include the timing belt as that is every 100,000km. The 150,000 km service includes all your oils (gbox, rear diff, engine), all your filters (engine, fuel, air), brake fluid and coolant, spark plugs, upper engine cleaner and fuel additive.

Hope this helps :)
Built not bought, it's a way of life.

G'day Chris,

Looks like we've got SA owners coming out of our ears atm! Where in Adelaide are you?

Short notice but we're going for a cruise this weekend - here's the link: viewtopic.php?f=33&t=16482

It'll be my first cruise with the group, too so lots of new faces would be a good thing.

Hope to hear more from you as time goes on.

cheers,

bj
