Apexi AVC-R n00b Q's

I have an Apexi AVC-R, the unit in the picture above.
There are no other parts, just the box, lead and plug.

Would this item be useful as part of the supporting mods for a standard turbo tune, and if so what other bits do I need to go with it?
(assuming it works)
Apologies for the n00b post, but your expertise could save me a heap of research time!

Your missing most of the wiring and also the control unit Benny. Although i'm sure these could be purchased seperatly new online, or you could be lucky and get the parts second hand.

Thanks for the quick response!

So is the control unit a BCV, and if so, must it be an Apexi?
Would you say the $$$ is evenly split between the display and the control unit and associated wiring?
I'll take a look and see if I can find some of the missing bits...

Actually, your also missing the solinoid and the the sensor too, plus all the plumbing. Basically all you have is the control unit.
Your probably better off looking for a complete unit either s/h or new. Maybe even a different brand.

I've got an AVCR in my RS and the display is annoying as it large and hard to find a good place to locate. Plus the solinods are prone to packing up. I've replaced mine once.

You should have all of this

What you have does very little apart from look rice... you can't control anything :P since you don't have the sensor or the solenoid.
