The point Bruce is that we are getting no information. Thats not the way to run a group buy.

Also you missed the point with the Phat thing. he has been brought up numerous times by BBB in the thread but then Phat says he was not involved with the prices listed. Just want to know what is going on.....pretty simple thing for Ben to explain in 1 sentence I would think.

I spoke to Ben at the dyno day and he is in discussions with various people to land these mats at the best price. He's trying his best to get what would appear to be a really popular group buy item and the best price possible. This sort of stuff takes time. He's got contacts and needs time both to purchase the mats and get them shipped as cheaply as possible.

The group buy end 30-06-2012 about another 7 weeks and you want answers in the first week. Your being unrealistic and stirring.

I'm saying give him a chance. He's not been unreliable and is a popular member and he's trying his best.

Let's take a deep breath, settle down and wait.

If you need the mats yesterday then buy them and pay full price. If you're expressing interest in the mats if the price is right then great express interest and wait to see if the price is right. It's been less than a week and you want everything finalized. Give the guy a break.

Before you say I'm not a part of this GB, that is correct, however I am interested in the mats. But before I put my name down, I'd like to know a few more details that are unclear.

Its not a matter of finalizing anything Bruce.

The issue is that he has thanked PHAT for his efforts, however PHAT says that he has not helped out in getting prices at all. So who is helping and why bring PHAT into this?

Secondly. If BBB is running the GB, why are we waiting for details from TR34 (assuming t.renshaw34) before BBB can give us some answers?

Finally, a few people have expressed uncertainty due to the PHAT issue and nothing has been addressed. Simple question with a simple answer IMO.

Thankyou Bruce.

Yes Phat may be supplying the mats. He has access to JdM brands at great prices. As do some others out there.

Sean from SnJ is sussing what he can do from his end. I'm doing what I can using my importers that I deal with in my vendoring on the forums.

We are in early early days and are simply asking for a "Yea im keen" or "thankyou but not for me".

BBB was waiting on me as I'm the one sourcing the mats. BBB is doing all the running around. Advertising, pics etc, and I'm doing all the phone calls to and from supplers. Simple partnership of two fellow liberty owners trying to help out other fellow liberty owners. :). BBB and myself could have gone out as got them at RRP over the weekend. We are both trying to help everyone else out by putting in a little more effort than a simple email to phat.

No worries Taylor see how you go. They look like pretty cool mats compared to primary producer rubber ones that Subaru supply and I own simply to keep the car clean.

Michael the way to get the price down is to have the numbers. Most suppliers won't give you the deal and waste their time unless they see evidence. The evidence in this thread is the first post. I've done similar deals before and it's a pretty fine line. I'd say put your name down, it doesn't cost a cent, but may influence the final price for the group buy. Your not doing the group buy or yourself a favor by not registering interest. Same goes for Kieran.

I'd say that to anyone else interested to register that interest. The only thing you'll be doing is possibly influencing the final price of the item. If and when the prices are released they're too rich for your blood then withdraw and it will scale back to the next pricing range. Everyone will have a buy and out price point. Register interest if you're interested in the mats.

Thanks Bruce!

Taylor and I were both loving the mats about the same time as mongmong77 posted his review. We put two and two together.

I prepared the post and am doing customer service, Taylor is looking after the business side which included approving the post, pricing and timing.

We have great numbers in on this so I'm positive about a great outcome for everyone, and at this stage it's expression of interest we're after.

In fact we're definitely looking to continue in this vein for the benefit of the community in general.

I do hope that this is explanation enough for the moment. If not, feel very free to PM me... :D

With all due respect to everyone involved, the question of where the price of $250 per unit comes from has yet to be answered.

EDIT: what I'm trying to get at is I just want to know if the price was made up or guessed by someone or whether it was an actual quote

Out of curiosity, how do these feel?

Are they hard rubber, soft rubber or something else?

Considering some mats, don't know if I want rubber or carpet, considering it is mostly just me in the car.

I'm sure some owners can comment, I have not eyeballed them yet!
From my googling, they have a flocked back for grip, a foam core maybe 3mm thick and a waterproof or (at least water resistant), fabric textured synthetic top layer that's washable.
Intriguingly, we use a similar laminated TPU at Crumpler Bags for our camera bag dividers! Very durable, good memory...

Far out, everyone should just chill.
BBB knows what he wrote on first post, and he therefore knows if the price ends up being way off, we wont buy it. Simple, and still over a month away.
man, i dont care where he gets em from, if im paying $250 i say "thank you" for even trying.
let him sort it out and relax...glad he's doing the chasing not me! and glad theres such big interest!
