And using the tactrix cable/ romraider/ecu flash is pretty easy too, I've done 4 reflash's now.

Must be the one with the right angle connector though.

Oh ... and looking good Bruce. Go the VF52!

I think <GB> is looking to order a Tactrix so I'll see if he can order a couple of extra extension cords to save a bit of postage if possible.

Yeah go the VF52... :)

Well I've finished bolting on as many bits I could find. Now to get them to all work together..

Thanks again.

I drove 50kms today to and from work etc and here is the latest Learning View screenshot.

I may have a genuine speed sensor issue or it could be the change of tyres possibly. Will confirm with Subaru on Monday.

AFR's are still pretty good at around the 5-6% correction.

No knock or timing correction detected and IAM has moved back up to 1.0 from since the ECU reset from last night which brought it back to the Subaru default of 0.5.

Looks like I have a lot to read up on with the outputs on the OBDII's. I will have to chase up one of the guys at work who has also had a display on his hacked PSP. Wonder if it can store data also.

Might put in an order for a cheap on on ebay to start off with and get it sent to work.

It's my belief that if you choose to use a cable other than a Tatrix OpenPort, you should do so with software you create yourself.

I thought there was free open source code that is not stolen form anyone so therefore having to buy a certain cable to use free open source would be against the open source rules!

That free software is the result of many, many hours of work by enthusiasts who were able to use other free software, provided by the makers of the Tatrix cable.

Tatrix continue to develop both the hardware and software, which in turn feeds into increased functionality for all.

No Tatrix cable, no free software.

There are "rules" and there's doing the right thing.

I totally agree, but buying a cable to just have a look is a bit of an over kill. Didn't know I was touching on such a touchy subject.

So wouldn't it be easier not to buy anything at all and take it to someone who has one and is willing to take a look for you?

Following completion of all my mechanical mods for the time being I thought I'd post a quick pic to end the week of my engine bay.

It still looks pretty stock and clean.

Always an impressive car to look at and now has the power to match. Very well finished off as always Bruce. You and Cruisin might be the top contenders for the show and shine at the dyno day.

I'll have to remember to bring my slingshot for that battle.

Really I'm no contender Cruisn's cars are at another level compared to mine.

Well your engine bay photo looks immaculate... Did it get a full detail while in for the tune or did you get on to it when it returned home? Either way it is looking perfect from what I can make out.
