Yep. I bought mine from Sydney Installers though from their website not ebay.

I just searched the Sydney installers website and they don't have it for Subaru. Only for Mazda, fiat, Volks, and so on.
Which one did you purchase ?

For everyone interested, the Xcarlink seems to be the best way to go, seeing as the EA1251 has heaps of negatives and the AXXESS isn’t available anywhere.
At least the Xcarlink units are in sydney.

I assume so. The Suzuki model is obviously for a Clarion stereo with the same connector as the McIntosh in the 04-06 Liberty.

Just got this email back from Harry at Sydney Installers:

Sure, but regarding warranty for your bulk list – are you going to take care of this or do we have to?

If you take care of warranty, I can give you a slightly cheaper rate, but your customers would contact you regarding issues. I would provide replacements to you as needed. Let me know the arrangement and I can return a quote.

Only problem with this is that at the moment due to Uni and 2 jobs I don't have that much time on my hands, so warranty turnaround through me wont be a bit slow. If you are all ok with this I'm happy to buy them, otherwise if someone else wants to put their hand up for the job then feel free.

Apart from that if everyone who is still interested please PM me so we know numbers and get some money and an order organized.

Ok so due to only 3 people PM-ing me so far I enquired about an order for 10. Harry let me know that we would only get about $5 off per item, which makes this whole concept kind of useless..

So sorry guys, but I think we'd be better off just purchasing our own from Sydeney Installers.

Maybe give people more than 24hrs to reply to the thread..

Failing that (some people only check the forum every few days if that) hit all that EOI'd in this thread with a PM. At least then you can get a repsone or see that they have ignored it (checking outbox is handy for this)

Might take a couple mins but at least you can get a definite response from all..

I must admit I only looked at this because it was coming up on the "new posts" list quite a bit but because I thought it was about the Clarion unit, I wasn't that interested.

I'd be keen on a group buy but also don't want to put someone through the whole warranty thing for the sake of saving $5.

I'd go for the USB device rather than the iPod one and would also be keen on the bluetooth option if it works with the MY06 Macintosh.

I've given up. Still not 100% sure about compatibility for my MY08 with McIntosh and I want iPod connectivity sooner rather than later. Count me out of the group buy sorry...

I've order the genuine aux cable from Subaru today (part # H6210AG000) for $124. A complete rip off, but at least I know it will do the job. I found this post on another forum with screen shots of the part and installation manual which came in handy too

Jonty, i just paid $150 for iPod connectivity so consider yourself lucky!

Regarding the installation of the Xcarlink unit: once the HU has been removed, does anyone know where can you fix the converter box? And where would the best spot be to have the lead come out?
