Yes ive got to stop turning it up so loud. Ive already had to replace the sub and that has gone well for me.
(in advance yes i know mcintosh speaker upgrades have been covered alot but i really cant read every audio theread posted in the last 5 years, and upon reading have confused myself even more).
My front right speakers have an awesome rattle and are definately blown. In order of money to sound ratio what is my best option?
I had planned to dynamat the doors only first but now these speakers have died, can i just put new splits in the front and run them off the Mac amp? or will i need to buy a costly 5 channel amp, get a LOC and reamp all speakers? mine is pre facelift and ive read that its easier in pre face than post or something? but ive now confused myself.

Yes you can run a normal set of splits off the Mac amp.

Mods: (GT) HKS Panel Filter. The HKS I put in the MY10 is the same filter I took out of my MY05 GT. So yes, they do fit. Custom leather heel pad to minimise carpet wear in the drivers footwell. Slotted front rotors. (Sherpa) 14'' 6 Spoke mags, Chrome Gear Shift (sick!), Alloy Pedals (sicker!), new positive and negative battery terminals, Alpine cda-9827 H/U, JBL GT 6x9's boxed and mounted (sickest!), Kicker DS650.2 component speakers mounted in the footwells in flibreglass pods, Alpine MRP-F200 4 channel amp (4x40wRMS), Rebadged with hektik chrome eBay badges, STi stickers for more powaaaa, "leather" handbrake boot, recarpetted with grey/black car carpet from Bunnings, sick Clarke Rubber boot mat, polished and waxed.

4ohm. Any 4ohm splits will be fine. Some better than others obviously

Went with Polk splits off stock amp and dynamat. Installed by Audi indulgence in Maitland. Goes good.
