I got the phillips crystal visions in my lib at the moment, i reckon they make a nice improvement over the stock bulbs, they're more defined & put out a nice bluish/white light. Phillips globes tend to be pretty exe too, you can find cheaper globes that might do the same job but you might have to do a bit of research.

Ive seen the diamond visions in a s15 200sx, these have the same type of projector headlight as the libs. In a dark street with these globes you couldn't see s#1t, they just put out a blue light & could only JUST see 10-20m ahead.

But if you can get your hands on a hid kit that would be the way to go, i dont know the quality of the cheaper kits so that decision would be up to you, they get pretty pricey too.

i had philips diamond vision on my gt for around a year. cost me i think $120 here in aust and only lasted 1 measly year. they're very exe and dont last very long.

HID's are the better option.

the HID upgrade is the way to go guys. I do alot of long distance night driving and are a great improvement over standard lighting.

Ive used the Philips globes and I would definately say they were an improvement.

They are cheaper than what ive seen in your local autobahn even after shipping and they also throw in sidelight/parker bulbs.

I had them in my 180SX. I thought they were great. I used the GT150 though.

mine is a HID kit, with ballast etc, hella globes, so far so good!

but excuse my ignorance, or whatever else you want to call it, but just scrolling through that website, all those globes look the same to me.. i really have no idea

i know ive got the H7 globes, but should i be going for these super duper ones, with 7000 kelvin, or ones that advertise 50% more light or should i just go nuts on ebay

the higher the kelvin you go the whiter/bluer/purple the colour will get. for best lighting, 4300K is recommended as it closely resembles the colour of natural light. but if you prefer white tinge to it 5000K is best bet. If you want more of the blue bling colour 6000K or purple 8000K upwards.

Just beware that with normal halogen globes, the higher the kelvin rating the shorter the lifespan of the globe.

hey guys i want to replace my low beams as well. Subaru dealers were offering upgrade headlamp globes before, does anyone have more details of what type of globs are they, how much do they cost installed and how much better are they.

hey trendsetters,

i know the my06 2.5i comes with pretty good lights as far as whats about these days, which are the H7 12V 55W jobs..

now if i want..... better globes.. what do i need to increase.. ie the wattage, the voltage, or just differnt globes altogether

would i be right in saying that if increase the wattage, things start burning out quicker?

im happy with whats im them now, but hey, who doesnt want to see better....

anyone reccommend something without me having to take a small loan out to pay for them...

ideally i would love those new xenons that most of you have, but thats wishfull thinking for some of us

What did you end up getting? I'm actually not that impressed with the high beam on my MY07 2.5i. Low beam is acceptable, but even the standard lights on my Nissan Patrol gave better light.
