Well it's in your own best interest. Happy to help. Though don't expect too much just yet.

Everyone makes mistakes Kieran. A test of character is how you recover. So far so good on fixing my issues.

And I became a little smarter as a consequence.

Hey Bruce

I suppose its better to run too rich than too lean and do a piston.

Do you think the problem was also costing you much power?

Do you think your Dyno results will change after its sorted?

Hi Pete,

Running overly rich is also bad for the car. Though not as bad as running lean at peak power.

It could well have been costing me power as IAM was also at 0.5 so all my timing was effectively retarded by a correction factor you would think.

On the dyno results I'm not sure. I'll see what tomorrow brings when they put it back on with the new settings.

I wouldn't think so as I would expect IAM initial settings would be set to 1.0 as per the other tuned maps I've seen. Though the stock 08 map is set to 0.5.

I'm only just learning how to tune but having looked at a few ROMs and read enough I'm going to start logging and adjust tables myself to see if I can hit some sort of sweet spot.

Lets see...

Car's coming home this arvo.

Even more power since fixing a few issues.

More info later tonight when I get all the details myself.

Just returned after spending 3 hours with my tuner to get my car sorted.

Learnt a fair bit about tuning and Craig's philosophy and I'm comfortable with it.

Well I'm very happy with the outcome and whole process.

The car has been completely retuned and now drives even better than before.

For those into numbers it's now making over 400nm torque and over 210awkw. Charts and graphs to come.

Also I'm much happier with my Learning View screenshot in terms of AFRs.

I've still got the vehicle speed sensor CEL and will investigate it further.

I've done an ECU reset to clear it and will take another screenshot tomorrow night to see IAM got back to 1.0 and if the CEL has returned. In that case I may have a genuine issue and I'll look to replacing it if faulty.

I've also filled the tank and will keep a record on the kms to the low fuel light comes on to ensure I'm not running too rich.
