Apart from the backfiring on decel the car drives pretty darn well. Strong linear power with fantastic mid range punch.

The SS copped it on the way home, as much as I love forced induction, I love cubes that little bit more :D

My car backfires under decel if I shift down at higher rpm

Shouldn't happen but combined with the IAM being 0.5 would suggest something is not quite right.

You could be right here..

But I'm planning on really getting to a stage where I can tune my own car. Till then I'll probably be a paranoid pain with little knowledge.

But better to be safe than sorry.

I'm about to go out and log some data now and see if I can further become my own worst enemy...

Well I've answered a few of my own questions today regarding tuning and the various tables.

The first one I was worried about was my IAM setting being 0.5 whilst previously it was 1.0. I've found my Advance Multiplier Initial is actually now set to 0.5 so that would explain it possibly.

The next question I now have is why my Knock Correction Advance tables have been set to zero.

Seems it's a valid tuning method so I'll investigate further to build my own knowledge base.

My paranoia has eased slightly.

Well I dropped it back and the latest is they did find a weep at the fitting for the FPR.

Glad I was a bit paranoid and got it checked.

Currently the fitting is being resealed and reseated and will be tested tomorrow.

I also found a couple of tables that had been zeroed as part of the tuning process but not repopulated upon completion which are going to be fixed.

And I thought it was running a bit rich so they're going to check AFR and injector constant flow and latency settings again.

Car should be back on Tuesday.

All in all it's been an interesting few days and I've spent a lot of time on the RomRaider forums and am feeling pretty good about my ability to make basic changes to my tune to develop it further.

I'm on the lookout for a wideband O2 sensor to better calibrate my open loop AFR's.

In a way I'm glad this happened as I wondering where this profile thread was going to go as I've just about completed my mods. I'll now try and get my car running as smoothly as possible with some road tuning and logging.

Here we go......
