I was mainly just focused on getting the paint smooth where the decal was going. Wanted über adhesion.. Very light coat of clear over the top and we should be right

What Paint did you use as I want to paint mine as I just got new rims and want to dress up the calipers now as you can see them.

I just do the whole face where the sticker is going on a belt linisher. Takes about 15 secs to get it perfectly smooth. :P

VHT is pretty quick and easy to use. Whatever you use, its all about the prep before the paint goes on. Make sure its clean!

from your local leading chain auto stores :D

Autobarn, Supercheap Auto, Repco, Auto Pro, Auto1...

the list goes on, but they all stock caliper paint

That's all I had to hand sand. I used 800 grit wet/dry and just did it numerous times. I haven't seen or used a 'flapper disc' before, what exactly do you do with it?

VHT is good, you can also use Killrust epoxy enamel - not as extensive a range in colours but I was going black & knew I could get it from Bunnings.

Epoxy enamel gloss is the shit for a sweet finish. Thats what those white ones are done in. Takes a fair while longer to dry approx 6 hours and recoat is after 16 hours.
