I will probably not up the boost. Just hoping to get more of the engine kw to the wheels by stopping the slip in the existing clutch packs in 3rd and 4th. Aiming to replace and strengthen all clutch packs, replace all bearings (higher quality versions) and seals, stay with the stock torque converter (I think) and tune shift points to occur at 6000 rpm. Should take a full week but will be better for it in the end. Fingers crossed.

So, got myself a new STI Lip, fitted courtesy of Cruisn. Did it before our breakfast meet this morning at Trutrack Cafe. I also changed my custom grille over to a Subaru Mesh one for the 3.0R. I think it looks better with the lip.

Looks good Mark. The front lip just finishes off the whole look. :good:

Thanks guys. I am liking it, so much so, that I have left the garage door open all afternoon, just so I can see it!!!

Cruisn, your wheels and brakes do not quite match your avatar! Your current ones are awesome. And I go on public record here as having 1st dibs on your wheels if you ever decide to part with them!

It's a shame I didn't read this thread before breakfast yesterday to see the upgrade... That along with getting out of bed earlier to see all the swapping and installing that happened.

Yeah, I sort of swapped them over as I do occassionally. I thought the standard Subaru sports mesh grille would go better with the lip. I think it does anyway and then I will have some time to play with the new mesh types that Cruisn was talking about.

No offense intended to your old set-up, but current one looks better wthout a doubt. As Bruce said, the lip solidifies the whole front end. Good stuff!
I got this plan. It's called 'Save Ass'. And the way it works is this - I slip outta one of these windows and I run like a bastard!
