Hopefully will all be done by September time permitting

Manual conversion and 2.5 build will be done by end of June

Like I said initial aim will be 270atw with the 2.0l, then 320 with the 2.5 then 370+ with the next stage which will be pretty expensive.

The rest will be in tuning

Gb I was being a clown man I know power is important (and is a function of torque). My point was straight line racing is more reliant on keeping the engine in mean and peak torque zone rather than peak power.

I'm pretty sure phat's will be the quickest lib in the country but he's not focusing on drag times

So I may be in with a chance :)

i know, u drag racering tool lol jks

have many on here got close to 270 atw on a 2l?

320 on a 2.5 would be good and is where i think mine should peak on e85

370 sounds too crazy and i fore see blocks exploding lol heads lifting off the deck, what kinda boost do you think this would need?

I know three libs that have cracked around the 270 on unopened motors - two were 2.0litres one was 2.5

370 plus will need good headwork and 30+ psi of boost

270 on corn?

I was thinking you must have been scheme to do the heads first and put them on the 2.0 while the uber 2.5 bottom end came together.
I am considering pulling out of this liberty GT arms race that was developing, leaving mine as an unopened 2.0 and buying a muscle car as a Weekend cruiser.

Time will tell.

Pussy :D

And no trust me unopened two litres can make 270 atw on reputable dynos with proven performance to match 12 sec cars. And that's on 98

So don't believe the hype

This will piss a few people off but any built motor making less than 260atw on 98 should be pulled apart again.

Maybe pushing the 2.0 to the limit and building a stout 2.5 is on the cards again.

But the un opened ones are not built to last,

lucky mines over that lol when I got it it wasn't, u also have to remember what boost some of us are running

I hope ur car lives up to the hype when ur done, u don't want to be putting on the flame suit again if it doesn't make dem powerz

Had some led's installed today thanks to the king of bling Leo :)

Led dome interior light
Parkers
Fog lights
Boot led strip

Loving the change such a small mod but one of those things that make you smile when you get in your car of a night time

Thanks Leo - ps I'm gonna call you super Leo from now on. Had all the above installed whilst I had a ten min chat with senator and norm it freaked me out !

Next steps as follows:

- rear brembos / leather interior / 07 gtb bottom dash half/ centre console/ steering wheel/ hid light levelling sensors go in next weekend
- front lip and air filter box enclosure hopefully the following weekend

Then the next thing will be the 6 speed conversion...

Thanks Justin

Yeah it's been fun converting this thing from a boring, 04 Gt base model, auto to what it is now and what it will hopefully be when I'm done

Still a fair few things I'm not happy about but hopefully will get to it all shortly
