I know Phat has most things so I guess I will need to email him again to get prices. Any one have any idea what I am looking at all up for prices? Any direct links to the parts required?

From what I am finding not many are saying my exact year of car. Are the mounts and bars all the same for all Gen 5 cars?

How did you go Chris??? What setup did you go with in the end? I am looking at a rear sway bar upgrade as the next change for me.

What sort of prices did you end up with?

Speaking with Bruce last night I am thinking Cusco sway bar... didn't get around to what else I would need to replace to match this upgrade?

Cusco rear sway bar
Cusco front sway bar end links
Cusco rear sway bar end links
TOTAL $720 delivered from Japan Parts

AVO rear HD sway bar mounts
TOTAL $132 delivered

PHAT lower arm bushes
$240 delivered

Sway bars get fitted this Saturday, and then the bushes sometime in the week following.

If you are looking to purchase, definitely give Japan Parts a look, as they had 24% off all Cusco when I was purchasing. Unfortunately PHAT couldn't match these prices, as I would have preferred to support his business.

Thanks for your reply... I will jump on Japan Parts site now and have a look at the pricing. I am only going to get the rear sway bar for now as everyone is saying it is the best bang for buck. It was tempting to get the whitelines as they are Australian, cheaper and easier to return if there are any issues.

Is there any issue with warranty fitting them myself?

As for you list do I need all of it or just the bars and the HD mounts? Is there any reason you go everything you did?

I am guessing my list would be:
Cusco rear sway bar ??? I know I need one of these - What size did you go and did you get an adjustable model?
Cusco rear sway bar end links ??? Not sure here no one had mentioned required?
AVO rear HD sway bar mounts $132 Need these or the whiteline HD Mounts...

A lot of people get caught up in the hoopla of suspension upgrades cos its cool but fact is they just dont need it. Around town Id only do a rear sway and maybe HD mounts to get rid of the factory understeer setup.

+1 HD mounts are a must and rear sway is very good bang for buck. These two and phats control arm bushes.

Ive fitted Phats J speed LCA bushes before for someone here and theyre alright, but in all honesty, when you can get the WL chassis control LCA bushes for sub $100 theyre not $140 extra better if at all.

I havd very little with other brands so good to know, Hows Durability? Stiffness?

I fitted them to my GT. A little stiffer than stock as to be expected from rubber vs nolathane. Durability, only time will tell but I doubt most owners would still have their cars before the bushes needed replacing again.

I have the fulcrum LCA bushes, been in for around 4-5 yrs now and still good.

For me it is just a daily driver which I want to have a bit fun with. If it all goes well I will do on my wife's MY10 Forrester.

Does anyone know if Taylor still sell the whiteline kits?

Hey all, Just wanted to check if I actually need the HD Mounts on the Liberty MY12 Gen V Wagon.

When speaking to Whiteline they are saying I don't as they are included?

Looks like it does come with two sway bar mount support braces. Not familiar with the underside of an MY12, but certain they do the same job as HD mounts and that is to strengthen the mounting and avoid it breaking. Is there a non-adjustable version you can save $$$ on? I'm willing to bet you will never adjust an adjustable one.

I can't find anything that is not adjustable unless I go thicker.
