Radio Installation caused inside cabin lights to not work

Hi,

I was working on installing a new DVD player into my liberty 1994 model. While installing, two wires (blue with red strip and yellow with red strip) wires touched giving a small spark. I then noticed all the door and cabin lights went off. I have had a look at the fuse box on the right side, all fuses look ok. I have also had a look at the fuse box near the battery and all fuses look ok there. All other lights, A/C and headlights work. When I managed to connect the new DVD system, it wouldn't power up.

Am I missing another fuse box somewhere?

The wiring is correct, I took out the DVD from my previous liberty 1992 to the 1994 one. All ground wires are connected well.

This is why you should always disconnect the battery when doing anything electrical. Definitely blown fuse in the cabin. Check them all incl illum. Fuse

Get yourself a multimetre and start testing the fuses. You have popped a fuse somewhere. Good lesson for next time isn't it.

Thanks for those replies. It was a blown fuse. I thought of disconnecting the battery next time I was going to work on such a thing.
