STOCK CENTRE + Y

Postby 08quadsti » Wed Apr 04, 2012 1:40 pm

Anyone know of any members installed after maket dump and quad tip muffs and retain stock centre and y to a 07-08 lib 2.5t?
Currently have a phat dump and thinking of installing TCP muffs without replacing the centre and y to keep noise down. How restrictive is the stock muff?
Curious on noise level and outcome b4 i commit.

I have phat dump and tcp mufflers with stock centre and y and noise levels are pretty quiet, I would only assume its the same for 2.5T

I was running this setup on my car for a whole. Noise levels are pretty tame with stock mid and y pipe. All bolts up no issues at all

I'm running the stock STI muffs with AVO dump and mid section. I was running the AVO dump with the rest stock for a while and there was almost no increase in noise.

Noticed your car is a TBSTI wagon. Do you still have the original STI muffs. I'd be more inclined to run them with a freer flowing mid section and dump pipe.

A sound clip of my exhaust setup can be found in either my profile thread or the exhaust clips thread.

I think my setup is considered one of the most quiet setups.

Cheers

Check my sound clip in the exhaust thread too for phat dump and phat quads with stock centre section on a 2.5T. Is still reasonably quiet overall, just a nice note when you give it a bit, it's definitely not loud though

Do you have a sound file of that setup? What setup have you got now?

Don't forget a wagon will be a bit louder/boomier than a sedan.
Kinda flush. Fitment is something. ADM as F*ck.
