[Bought] WTB Subaru STI Quad Exhaust for wagon

Postby yipming » Thu Feb 02, 2012 11:42 am

I am looking to buy STI Quads for BP5 wagon.

I have taken off my HiTech quads because they have gotten too loud after having down pipe and mid pipe installed.
The stock mufflers are now re-installed and is back to almost silence. But I miss the quad tips.

After a bit of digging and searching, I think the STIs are the only mufflers that matches the quietness. Especially the rumble around 2-3k rpm range.
(Got a baby girl coming soon now so the car needs to be quiet).

I am willing to trade the HiTech plus cash to seller if prefered, as said the HiTech are off the car so you can have it first and swap out your mufflers.
Be warned though these HiTech does melt the bumper so you either need to trim the inside back a bit (won't be visible outside) or have some form of heat shield.

Thanks,
Alan.

Yea, I believe that TCP would be similar sound absorption type rather than cancellation type.

So they would be fairly simular in volume.

Planned on selling them. Kinda using those as baits for the STI quads ...
But otherwise just the mufflers.
