Hey James!

The wheels that you currently have on your car... are they staggered in size front and rear? I'm thinking of buying some wheels (Rota Grids - black) off a friend of mine (which you know btw - small world), that is 18x9 (front) and 18x9.5 (rear) will they fit without rolling of guards? That's if I intend of not lowering! They are currently on a Toyota Soarer V8. Can you guess who?!
Below car has been gone for quite some time now... blew bottom end bearing and dealership screwed me! Now driving 2008 WRX with ~65k kms on the clock. Only has cat back exhaust and tune by KiDo at the moment! More to come... but slowly!

Purchased recently (12/11/2013), already with: Stage 2 Pedders lowered springs, rear Whiteline sway bar, Advan Racing TCII 18x8 wheels, k&N pod filter, custom 3" exhaust system from turbo back with Magnaflow mufflers. ECUTEK tune of some sort (hopefully soon to be fixed)..... now FIXED!! Now KiDo Tuned!
Added: HID kit, EZ lip equivalents to the front and sides, and various LED treatments, oem boot spoiler, [LGT WRC] plates, GFB Respons BOV for extra Pssscchhh! --> Gone... I couldn't afford it's heart transplant... but keep a look out, as it will come back on sale soon!

Haha, I'd say that's Jason? mine are 19x8.5 front and rear, so no staggering, not sure what the stock ride height is like for yours but would look pretty mean lowered, I didn't get my guards rolled until I got coilovers and I lasted just fine, however I'd say it would be crucial with 9.5s on the rear mate.

Give Des from Auto FX a call, he is well known among the wrx car community and I was recommended to him and he does a good job, you can go to his (which is cheaper) or he will do a call out fee. His number is 0412 034 861, if your definitely going to go ahead let me call ahead and see if I can get you same price as how much he did mine for!

Hahah! Yep it's Jason, he's actually my neighbour, lives 4 houses down from my parents place! So was good of him to come round and ask if I wanted these rims.. What do you reckon of running staggered fitment? Not advisable on an AWD? I think I have some thinking to do! haha! I'll keep you posted! :D

If I go staggered... will that cause any problems with the AWD system of the car?

Hey Mate,

Got a PHAT GT dump pipe ($760) off another forum member

Cat back exhaust from Rob and Ultrex (500-600 can't remember)

K & N high flow panel filter ($80) whether this made a difference is debatable.

And then I got a Verso tune from ASG garage in Malaga who are pretty well known in WA for there tuning. Which was about $1000

Hope this helps mate!
You looking to head down that path?

My wife's daily is a 3.0rb, but I'm toying with the idea of selling it for a gt. I want a bit more shove, and have always wanted to have a tricked up car. I don't want to spend 20k on a twin turbo setup for her's (silver bullet in Sydney is dynoed @ 336 ATW!!!!), but may end up waiting a little longer and doing just that.

Would farken LOVE to beat a new clubbie 0.0

Have you ever taken your car down the quarter mile? What would your car get stock? 140ish atw?

Nah mate never tracked or taken down drag strip. Would have tried if the WA club liberty guys would be there but we haven't had an opportunity yet! I have the stock figures somewhere but I'm sure you could find the stock output somewhere!
