Had a great experience at Trutrack today.

Had a good chat with Ralph in the morning and basically left him to work his magic. He did say that the Liberty's handling suffers from being too low so he wouldn't be dumping the car. My response was to do what he had to, to get the best out of the bits being installed and the existing setup. His wife has a Liberty and he has played with the suspension and handling settings. Drop off time was 7:30am.

Picked up the car after 5:30pm as Ralph was still tweaking the car getting the best out of it. He has inspected and greased all suspension components as well as he install. Also had the car corner weighted and aligned and balanced. Car was setup with a 10mm further drop than the TBSTI setup. I think Ralph told me he'd set camber at 1 or 1.5. I can't remember.

The drive back was great fun. The car does feel like its on rails and feels very precise. Steering has become a bit heavier, not sure if this all the bracing or the new bushes.

I may ask to soften the settings a little as the roads around here are less than perfect. Will wait a couple of days and then make a decision. I may just need a bit of time to adjust.

Thanks to Gambit and 3rspecb for putting me onto Trutrack.

Trutrack also have a cafe and if anyone's interested we should go for a coffee or an authentic southern Italian influenced meal.

Sorry no pics as I got home too late. Will post some tomorrow.

I didn't as it really got to late by the time I left. I'm to contact Ralph tomorrow to give him my opinion of the work. Will ask him to email me the settings at that time.

Yeah it is a good carpark. $12.50 all day parking for early birds and good wide bays and nice cars so hopefully no carpark dents. And I work in the buiding so never have to worry about an umbrella on those rainy days.

Here are the settings for the alignment at Trutrack.

FRONT L/H R/H
Camber -0.57 -1.07 MAX
Castor +3.32 +3.45
Toe In 0.5 0.5

REAR
CAMBER -1.13 -1.40
TOE IN 0.7 0.7

And for those interested here is where I had the work done and can highly recommend them.

I'm hoping to get to as many meets as possible this year. And you're right I'm busy reading, learning and talking to as many people to make a decision on what I do. The modding bug has really gotten to me.

Not sure I can make the overnight cruises due to family commitments but really enjoyed the Christmas BBQ. Day cruises are fine.

I had Gambit(Anthony) over last night and he took my car for a test drive to check the quality of my Revzone tune.

Anthony gave the 'all good' so I'm happy to continue with my choice of tuner.

Whilst saving for the exhaust mid section and AVO TMIC I'm also looking at getting my suspension rebuilt by Trutrack to get rid of that damn Bilstein knock.

Watch this space....

That mid section gave my car 100kw.... :P
Really good to see the research going in the mods that you're doing Bruce :)

Went out today for a bit of a drive to Edge Motorworks at Campbellfield with fellow forum members Jzntme and Brainy to check out the dyno day venue and formalise plans.

Great day out with the boys and an op to take some pics.
