Outback Bonnet

Postby Lib 3.0LR » Thu Mar 15, 2012 3:19 pm

Hi all, I know this topic has been brought up before, but I'm just trying to confirm if a 2005 Outback bonnet will fit on a 2005 Liberty. I'm considering getting this done to my car. My panel beater is under the impression it will not fit.

Cheer, George :)

From memory, there was a black Blitzen on here somewhere that had an Outback bonnet on it. I don't think there were some mods required to fit it but NFI what they were. Looked $hit hot though!!! Whatever you need to make it happen... MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!
Car(s): Steel Silver MY10 GT Wagon + 1985 Subaru Sherpa

Mods: (GT) HKS Panel Filter. The HKS I put in the MY10 is the same filter I took out of my MY05 GT. So yes, they do fit. Custom leather heel pad to minimise carpet wear in the drivers footwell. Slotted front rotors. (Sherpa) 14'' 6 Spoke mags, Chrome Gear Shift (sick!), Alloy Pedals (sicker!), new positive and negative battery terminals, Alpine cda-9827 H/U, JBL GT 6x9's boxed and mounted (sickest!), Kicker DS650.2 component speakers mounted in the footwells in flibreglass pods, Alpine MRP-F200 4 channel amp (4x40wRMS), Rebadged with hektik chrome eBay badges, STi stickers for more powaaaa, "leather" handbrake boot, recarpetted with grey/black car carpet from Bunnings, sick Clarke Rubber boot mat, polished and waxed.

Just found it viewtopic.php?f=10&t=8025&hilit=blitzen

By the looks of it, there weren't any mods but you might want to contact the OP to discuss.

It should fit, I too have considered this many times and was told by subaru docklands spare parts that the outback bonnet would be a straight fit.
