MY NEW CLUTCH - BITCHES....Jim Berry

Postby jacks-GTB » Sun Mar 11, 2012 10:58 pm

Hey dudes,

I thought I'd share my new clutch...from hearing so so much greeat work from Jim, I decideed to spend the money & get the bees knees of clutch...

If you want a good clutch, he will tailor it to your needs...I have a injured back & have weakness & less feeling in my left leg...So he accommodated it to my needs, and also my power output....

so here are some pretty pictures :)

This is the exact same reason I had to get an auto. In the Sherpa it doesn't matter so much as I only need to flex my left big toe to engage the clutch :D

Endone and Oxycontin has been my bestest friends for a loooooooooooong time

Jim has been achieving big clamping forces with little pedal effort in Subarus for years. He does so by modifying the pivot point and I know because I had one of the prototypes about 15 years ago.

A great guy who does great work, but to say it's the only way to get a good clutch is a bit silly.

I have known Jim since I was a kid through Fiats. He was always happy to stop and have a chat, and his old front desk chap JR was a riot, really funny chap. Have one of his clutches in my Triumph. 10-12 years of thrashing and it doesn't miss a beat.
Kinda flush. Fitment is something. ADM as F*ck.

WOW that clutch really looks the business, plus it's sprung which should be a little nicer take up on the street. Any power/abuse figures given for the new clutch (what's its limit)??

Nice crutch..!

you'll be happy with it.

mine is quite heavy on the pedal, but no more than the stock one, so i just figure they're all like that (6MT) and i still haven't adjusted the take-up height on mine properly, it's too close to the floor.

but it's great, no rattles, no squeaks, it slips nicely when you need it to and it bites hard when you want it to..
