Tho very reliable.. to my surprise but drivers seat makes you think you have removed sway bars and springs .. But if you have a more powerful one and its well kept it wouldn't be a bad car :)

Nigel its pretty cool one you go for a drive in one. before i went in it i wouldn't have given the old merc's a second look but now i see why people own them. its like buying an old caddy but euro and heaps cheaper. has heaps more features than you think. this is a shot i took of the interior.

Ok folks, this arvo, in the cover of my garage, I had my first ever attempt at this "light painting" stuff that tangcla churns out a lot of his amazing pics using.

This is what I got out of it, very amateur so please feed me some advice!

Not bad, I've been trying to master the same technique :P

I found using a softer light worked better for me. And try not to let the light face the camera at any point like the last pic.

One of my attempts, was a patchy first try but I kind of like the effect the varying light gives.

Did you shoot the flash straight from behind the camera for this? Would be real cool to see what the lighting would have done if the light went from right to left across the bike. Would have looked interesting I think. Would bring out alot of detail in the body work of the bike.. Also would create some very interesting shadows

There was light from all around the bike (camera left and camera right) but most of it was from the camera axis to get the reflections.

What kind of lighting source did you use?

I just had an LED Light like the ones mechanics use for under the car...

wouldn't make a difference if it flickers because with long exposures it requires to take these photos, it would just come out as a single ambient light. at no point would you capture the 'flickering' of the candle flame. only in a time lapse maybe.
even more random... have you seen how a candle burns in no gravity? pretty hectic as there is no gravity to tell it to go any direction so it goes every direction!
