Another GT for Newy

Postby Andy » Fri Mar 09, 2012 8:12 am

Hi All,

After many years of saying "one day I'll have a Lib GT wagon", I've rescued one from a nice, but uncaring millionaire in Sydney and brought it back to Newcastle. Anyone ever heard of a 3yr old Subi engine seizing up? Well, it will happen if the car you bought for the nanny is sitting there for 2 years between services and you start driving it on 40 degree days. Thankfully Subaru was somehow convinced to replace the engine under warranty, and I've got a secondhand car with 1600km on the engine (it's all legit, I checked the paperwork) :D

Anyway, here's me:
Name: Andrew
Age: 31
Location: Newcastle NSW
Car: MY09 Liberty GT Spec B 6MT Wagon
Team: Black

I'm pretty much new to fast cars, so the tuning bug shouldn't bite me for a few years. Last car was a 2004 GX Impreza (since new) that should make some P plater quite happy with the twin 12" subs.
I'll get some photos up when I finally decide on some wheels to replace the scuffed-up stocks (I thought I was dreaming when my wife said "Your wheels are boring. I'll buy you some new ones").

Cheers,
Andy

Yes, some good ideas for mods on here. I swear I'm just doing the wheels and sorting out an ipod connection... for now.

I'm usually around Hamilton and Kotara.

Just picked up a set of Tenzo Cuzco 18" in charcoal, so here's a preview from my phone cam. More soon...

 I admit that it'd be better a few mm lower, but this is already waaay better than my Impreza. You could almost sit a coke can on the front tyre of that one.

Not a "nice" looking photo, but shows the wheels better:
