I was going to come down Thursday night Justin, but your earlier post said you'd be done by Thursday. Based on that I thought the works had been completed.

Happy to come down tonight for a catchup and check out Scott's handywork. Let me know.

Just saw this thing in the flesh today.
Seems wherever Jaydece goes, Scott goes too... ;)

But back to the fmic, the black looks hawt!!... Well it would if you could see it... It's very stealth!

Scott has some serious handy work there. Very clean looking setup!

Got an update but not on my car.....Scott decided to follow in my footsteps and purchased a xforce system and varex muffler.....but he wasnt happy with the remote control function...

So scott being bloody scott decided to do this! :D

Basically it's using a actuator from a turbo to open the muffler valve once it hits a certain boost level...i think it's set to 5psi atm....not properly tested yet on the car... :)

Varex had a RPM muffler valve type but it's been discontinued....probably cause it wasn't popular and or probably had some issues on some cars....hence why they came out with the remote control type like mine....

But in all seriousness If this works....IMO I think it's a pretty good idea.... :)

My guess would be it probably depends on whether it's an auto or a manual.

If it's a manual, they will more than likely start to close during gear changes and if it's an auto, they should stay open.

Just a guess though.

Cheers,
Rusty.

I've never actually checked, but I reckon if Justin logged boost during a quick gear change that it might not go below 5psi.

Something I forgot to mention when I did my V2 FMIC setup was the Xcellent GRIP / TIGHTNESS and quality of Turbosmart Murray Clamps......I've used several different types of clamps and IMO this is the BEST one's I've used!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! especially when it comes to intercooler setups....They sell them in a pair = $$$$ expensive but farken worth it!

Been on the buying run again.....The prices were just too good to refuse!....the following has arrived so far:

1/ Kinugawa Kando UEL Headers & Uppipe Kit ( Thanks Gambit ) = OMG! Xcellent Quality & Finsh! Recommended Totally! Comes complete with everything!
Gambit recommended EL headers but I want my power to be in the mid range area and also keep the boxer rumble....I'll be selling my grimmspeed uppipe once this kit is fitted

2/ AVO Fuel Rail Kit ( Thanks Adam AKA Tuspeed & Bruce ) = Going to be running this inline with my turbosmart FPR1200 parallel fuel rail conversion

3/ Grimmspeed 3 PORT boost controller ( Thanks Adam AKA Tuspeed ) = Will be selling my perrin EBCS controller once this is fitted

4/ LED Rear Brake Light Globes ( Thanks Kieren & Clarence ) = Parts Awaiting

5/ LED/HID/Halogen Front Fog Lights = Sourcing a few idea's and places atm

And that's it for now.... :)

Hopefully will have the big stuff approaching soon and finsh the car where I want it to be.....so I can finally give this development story a nice ending......
